EquiLend is seeking a Client Relationship Management & Sales representative to join its Global team, based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a portfolio of institutional clients in London and Europe and for managing daily client activity across the platform.

The successful candidate will be expected to drive revenue growth through the development of relationships across each firm's front office and support areas. To accomplish this, the candidate will work with our clients to develop a strong understanding of their business needs and then tailor specific solutions to improve the efficiency, market coverage and effectiveness of each client's securities borrowing or lending operation.


Responsibilities

Sales/Relationship Management

  • Increase revenue to a pre-determined target
  • Work with existing clients to increase flow across the platform
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of each client’s business by meeting regularly and forming strong relationships across all levels of their business
  • Identify and work with prospective clients from initial contact, demonstrations and the on boarding process
  • Train clients on the full functionality of the platform
  • Maintain a high visibility profile with the regional community and engage in business markets and forums
  • Run client workshops designed to promote adoption of the platform’s functions
  • Participate in product development initiatives by providing subject matter expertise
  • Promote and expand usage of the platform for new markets and products

Requirements

  • Must be able to make decisions and solve problems quickly and accurately.
  • University Degree is required
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Experience with Fixed income products a plus
  • Fluency in French, German or Italian a plus

Business Skills 

  • Two to five years Securities Finance, electronic trading or e-commerce experience
  • Experience with managing clients
  • Ability to anticipate client needs and take initiative
  • Strong sales skills
  • Strong understanding or willingness to learn the underlying business (securities finance) at a detailed and technical level

General Attributes

Technical Writer

Basic Function

This individual will be responsible for writing and maintaining EquiLend's documentation in support of new releases of functionality to its global platform. He or she will be hands-on and involved in all aspects of technical writing from planning to writing to the revision and roll-out process.

This individual will be expected to study existing materials, interview Subject Matter Experts within the firm and conduct the research necessary to produce accurate and comprehensive documentation for highly evolving products. A successful candidate will need to exhibit superior writing skills appropriate for client facing material and excellent attention to detail.

The selected candidate will work closely with multiple teams internally in order to create and maintain documentation, including the Product Management Office, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Client Services, CRM & Sales.

Candidates will be required to produce a variety of written samples when applying for this position.


Responsibilities

  • Work with manager to develop and formalize process for creating and updating EquiLend documentation
  • Review existing documentation templates and style guides and revise as necessary
  • Work with manager to develop and execute project plans related to product documentation
    • Manage all project tasks; ensure that all milestone dates are met on time and on budget with a high degree of quality
  • Create, edit and maintain product documentation and related materials, including, but not limited to:
    • Protocol documents (file specifications)
    • Client-facing User Guides
    • Client-facing FAQs
  • Gather information, analyze subject and audience and produce high-quality documentation that is accurate, complete, unambiguous and as concise as possible
  • Lead and facilitate interviews and meetings across multiple groups in the firm to produce accurate and thorough documentation
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts during a project’s design phase to gain an understanding of the product or enhancement
  • Independently test products to be documented in order to confirm actual behavior
  • Create process flow charts, diagrams, etc. as deemed necessary for product documentation
  • Facilitate review process across multiple teams to confirm accuracy of documentation
  • Work with colleagues in multiple offices and across different time zones
  • Maintain version control and audit trail of changes to documentation
  • Learn EquiLend platform functionality at a detailed and technical level

Business/Data Analyst

Basic Function

This individual will be responsible for assisting in an ongoing data consolidation and dissemination project through multiple release cycles. They will assist the project manager and developers in analysing client data, creating client facing data output files as well as gathering requirements and enhancements for a comprehensive GUI to enable clients to collate, filter and tailor the data to their business needs.
 
This individual will be hands-on and involved in all phases of a project, from analysis and requirements gathering to functional design to documentation, testing, implementation and client support activities.  They will work closely with multiple teams internally as well as client users throughout the project lifecycle. The selected candidate will also assist with researching client questions and troubleshooting.


Responsibilities

  • Apply data analysis and data mining techniques to identify data related problems and solve them while ensuring the inbound data and outbound results are of high quality
  • Analyse and troubleshoot data and functionality issues with clients
  • Examine client business requirements, client data, etc. and present findings and recommendations to internal teams
  • Develop detailed business requirement documents and screen mock-ups outlining the solution to be implemented
  • Complete internal test preparation by creating detailed test cases, test conditions, and test data based on project requirements
  • Complete the execution of testing internally, inclusive of documenting results, tracking defects, and trouble-shooting defects and issues that arise out of testing
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Tests with clients
  • Create and/or update client User Guides and other platform documentation to support new functionality
  • Learn EquiLend platform functionality at a detailed and technical level

Requirements

  • Background in capital markets
  • At least 5 years of work experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong MS Office tools skills, specifically Excel and VBA
  • Skilled with SQL and Access

This individual will provide support for the CRM & Sales representatives and their day to day management for a portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will be involved in a diverse array of tasks including, but not limited to, data management, reporting, product development projects, and marketing initiatives. The candidate will attend client meetings and work with our clients to develop a strong understanding of each client's business flow and business needs.
