Responsibilities will be to promote and increase the use of EquiLend services throughout the European and Asia region, and continue to develop and maintain senior client relationships.
The role includes ongoing business development activity including managing and leading business planning and strategic initiatives, by providing subject matter expertise, as well as the ability to plan, prioritise and optimise new business activities towards achieving planned revenue targets.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, together with excellent presentation skills, as well as good verbal and written communications skills.
General attributes
5-10 years of securities finance experience, gained within a financial institution, either from an operational or trading capacity, including experience in management of people.

Fixed Income and Repo Contractor

Position Title: Contractor
Position Description:
Short term contract position in which the candidate will be expected to work with the Business Development team to improve relationships with the Fixed Income Trading and Operations areas of EquiLend clients and potential clients. The candidate will be responsible for assessing the needs in the Fixed Income and Repo space to determine where can add additional value through extended use of current functionality or the development of new functionality. The ideal candidate will possess a deep body of knowledge and experience, inclusive of in both trading and operations for all fixed income and repo products.
Responsibilities will include:
- Meet with all major players in fixed income finance and repo market to discuss opportunity and assess interest as well as analyze the potential for employer.
- Promote usage of existing products and services
- Document findings and present recommendations for moving forward
- Develop detailed business case outlining risks and rewards of this business for employer.
- Interface with clients as well as product development to inform the design phase and outline a requirements gathering process.
- Sell services to new clients and cross sell to existing clients.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 10 years experience with Fixed Income and repo products in either trading or operations at a large banking or brokerage organization
- Solid understanding of Fixed Income products (i.e. Treasuries, municipal bonds, Sovereigns,, ABS, MBS, Repo Trading)
- Understanding of the securities lending and repo market
- Experience with Tri Party collateral products
- Outstanding relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications
- Self-motivated and can work independently as well as in a team environment
- Proficient with MS Office applications: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strongly detail oriented, organized, and analytical
- Familiar with Fixed Income and repo systems (i.e. Martini, Anvil etc)
Skills Desired:
- Knowledge of BOTH Trading and Operational practices in the Fixed Income Arena
- Extensive contacts within the Fixed Income community preferably with individuals at a decision making level
