Brian P. Lamb

Brian is responsible for all global operations of EquiLend, its affiliates and subsidiaries. In addition to serving as CEO, he is the Chairman of the Board of the global organization and serves as a director on the boards of each the company’s subsidiaries in Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Brian has more than 35 years of hands-on experience and a deep knowledge of the global securities finance industry with an emphasis on technology solutions.

Brian is one of the industry experts who conceptualized and designed the EquiLend platform in 2000 and is named as a co-inventor on the company’s technology patents.

Prior to joining EquiLend, Brian spent 17 years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI). While at BGI, Brian held various positions, including head of Global Derivatives Services and Cash Strategist. He spent many years in securities finance while at BGI in roles including Product Manager for Fixed Income Securities Lending, Program Manager and alternate board member of EquiLend.

Brian was named to the Securities Services Hall of Fame by Global Custodian in 2013 and received the first-ever Securities Finance Times Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.

Brian is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in finance.
